inthewoodshop - Tool Storage

One of the things I should add for the newbies to my tool buying page is that you can't go wrong getting good wrenches and screwdrivers. They should be almost the first thing you buy. Go to Sears and get a set of Craftsman tools. Get one of those 100 or 200 piece mechanic sets. You won't be sorry. I am not a big Sears fan, for a variety of reasons, but they do warrantee their hand tools for life. I know some stores can be a bear to get them replaced at, but hassle their management. With the advertising they have done they don't have a legal leg to stand on. Better yet, find a store that doesn't hassle you and buy your stuff there. I have had mine for ages and there is only one screwdriver I need to look at exchanging. If I ever remember it, I will let you know how it went. I like SnapOn and some of the other pro tools too, but I am NOT willing to pay what they want. Sears is much more affordable - with the same warranty.
