Life is good! Work wood!

The Woodshop - Fall 2002

Grab your coffee and come on inthewoodshop. This section of the site was long overdue for a facelift! Previously I had a few snapshots of a shop being organized, but nothing of the working version. I have fixed that. The old photos aren't gone, I just worked them into the new material.

I need to point out that this shop is a work in progress. Yes I work in it, but it is not complete. As of the time these photos were taken the walls were not yet complete and I was working on storage in another location to reduce some of the clutter. It isn't that I feel the need to expain myself to the safety police, but please, think twice about wasting an email telling me that there isn't a place for everything and nothing is in its place. I have only had this shop a short while so I am still working out the kinks. Most woodworkers like getting a peek in another woodworker's shop so I chose to put this page up. I could have skipped it. [rant off - sorry, I've had complaints]

I have decided to divide this area in two; first a narrative that explains the thought that went into my woodshop organization, and it is full of links to photos and other sites. Second is a photo tour starting with a clickable shop layout. These pages will be slower to load as the photos are built in, not just links. Remember, no shop is complete. A woodshop is a living thing and as long as it is being used, it evolves. Check the What's New? page periodically for updates. Enjoy!
