I think it is out of print now. I have to order this copy used from Powell's. I used to check it out at the library, but it got so frequent, I bought it.Great information for the would be woodworking business owner.I believe this book is a must for any woodworking machine owner. Excellent guide to setting up, tuning up and troubleshooting problems with your machines.This is the quintessential work on the lathe. A must for anyone who owns one or is thinking of getting one. The second edition, which I also have, is a marked improvement, if that is possible.Excellent book. I am trying to stick to the water based stuff for a variety of reasons and this is a great reference.Very nice book, although I am shying away from using spray finishes anymore.A very nice book on the bandsaw, but for maintenance issues I still turn to the Mastering Woodworking Machines book by Duginske.An excellent reference book on methods. Truly magificent book.Interesting. Not very helpful though.I built the workbench from this as soon as it came out and I am still using it some 12 or 13 years later (it does need some tightening up). One of my favorite books if for no other reason than Norm elevated my woodworking from something I did to something I loved.I like all Norm's stuff. Haven't really used much of this book though.I like all Norm's books. I don't really build any of his projects but again it is another method to consider when deciding on joinery. I like the utility of many of his pieces, but I do twaek the styles and many design features.I love this book, but it doesn't suit my modus operandi. That may change if I go out camping in the bush and construct a pole lathe.
